Select the Court and Required Form
This subpoena template assembles preparation particulars and an editable document schedule. Transfer the reviewed text into the court’s prescribed form before seeking issue.
Select the proceeding’s court and the purpose of the subpoena. The draft records production, attendance or both and shows the associated form checks.
The Federal Court uses Form 43A for evidence, Form 43B for documents and Form 43C for both. Use the Federal Court’s prescribed forms and review Part 24 of the Federal Court Rules for leave and issue.
Family law proceedings in the Federal Circuit and Family Court use the Subpoena - Family Law form. Its form and leave requirements differ from general federal law proceedings.
For another court, enter its name and identify its prescribed form. That choice keeps the preparation text editable without applying either federal form mapping.
Build a Bounded Document Schedule
Name one recipient and identify the records within that recipient’s custody. List the accounts or entities, then set the period and describe each document category.
The fictional bank example requests monthly statements for two identified accounts over one quarter. It leaves the recipient address and return arrangements for completion.
The schedule preserves the categories and limits you enter. Adding an account does not add other accounts or document categories automatically.
Explain the issue the records can help resolve. For a disputed payment, connect the requested statement period to the alleged payment dates and the accounts identified in the evidence.
Review each category for legitimate forensic purpose and oppressive scope. Replace broad requests for every financial record with identifiable documents tied to the issue.
The bank-record subpoena guide explains the wider process for obtaining and inspecting financial records.
Export and Review Before Issue
Edit the generated text directly, then copy it or download an editable text file. The export preserves your manual edits and includes the unresolved particulars and official-form checklist.
Changing an input rebuilds the draft and replaces manual edits. Download the edited version before changing particulars or leaving the page.
Blank particulars are marked for completion. An invalid entered date or reversed record period withholds the draft until corrected.
Complete filing, leave and issue requirements on the official form. Establish the service deadline, service method and conduct money for the actual proceeding.
Enter the court’s return arrangements. A document schedule does not authorise direct delivery to the issuing solicitor or permission to inspect produced records.
The Family Court’s subpoena guidance explains conduct money and objections, including privilege and protected confidences. Resolve those matters before relying on produced records.
