Create a Free Electronic Signature

Create a typed or drawn signature mark and download it as a transparent PNG. These free electronic signatures are image files that you can review without creating an account.

Type your name and select an appearance, or choose Draw and use a mouse, stylus or finger on the preview. Type mode also supports keyboard entry. Select black or blue ink and choose an image size, then review the mark.

The fictional Alex Morgan example shows the image’s proportions. Clear mark empties the image. Reset example restores the fictional text and default appearance.

Place the Mark on a Local PDF

Open the optional PDF controls and choose a local file. Select a page, then press Add mark. From left and From top position the image’s top-left corner as percentages of the displayed page.

Mark width is a percentage of page width. The image keeps its fixed proportions. At the default settings, its top-left corner is 10% from the left and 75% from the top. Its width is 25% of the page.

Change the position or width to reposition a placed mark. Remove placed mark returns the preview to the original page. Page selection moves this single mark to the chosen page.

The original download contains the selected file’s unchanged bytes. Create PDF working copy produces a separate file. The source file on your device remains unchanged.

Review and Export the Working Copy

When creating electronic signatures, review the PNG before placing it. After creating a PDF working copy, download and reopen it. Confirm the page number, image size and placement against the preview.

The tool accepts unprotected PDFs up to 20 MiB and 40 pages. It refuses unreadable files and pages larger than 14,400 PDF points on either side. The exported working copy must fit within 80 MiB.

A mark that extends beyond the displayed page is refused. Move it inward or reduce its width before exporting. Changing the signature or placement removes the previous working-copy download.

The PDF export places an image over existing content. It does not complete interactive signature fields or preserve the validity of existing cryptographic signatures. Review forms, annotations and other interactive features in the exported file.

Use the Online Page With Local Files

You can create electronic signatures online while the mark and PDF remain in your browser tab. The page processes their contents locally. It does not upload the selected file or signature text.

The tool keeps no saved signature library or document vault. Clear everything removes the entered mark and loaded PDF from the tool. Reloading starts a fresh example. Downloaded files remain wherever you save them.

The PNG has a transparent background. Small is 500 by 150 pixels, Medium is 1,000 by 300 pixels and Large is 2,000 by 600 pixels. Typed appearances use fonts available on your device, so review the preview before downloading.

Check Execution Before Using the Mark

A signature image records a visible mark. This utility does not verify identity or authority, record consent or provide a witnessing process.

The Attorney-General’s electronic-signature guidance explains the conditions that can apply under Commonwealth law. The applicable document and jurisdiction determine the execution requirements.

Read about electronic signatures and legal evidence before selecting a signing process. Use the remote witnessing guide when a witness is required.

The Court’s affidavit guidance describes a separate witnessed execution process. Placing an image on a PDF does not complete that process. For other document utilities, browse the generators.
