Start with the result you need for your document bundle. Merging combines pages into one file. Comparison locates differences between two versions. Redaction removes selected content from a separate copy for sharing.
These free online PDF tools process your files locally in your browser. Keep an original document before changing a working copy.
Splitting extracts selected pages into separate files. Rotation turns pages to the correct orientation. Cropping changes the visible page area, while hidden content remains in the PDF.
Markup adds review annotations. Editing changes supported text or form fields in a working copy. Compression aims to reduce file size, so compare readability and retained features before using the result. Password-supplied opening uses a valid password to create an authorised working copy.
For a bundle assembled from several files, choose merging and arrange the pages in the order you need. Check the combined copy against the source files for missing or duplicated pages. Keep the originals so you can trace each page back to its source.
When you have two copies of a document, comparison helps you locate changed text or pages. Inspect each reported difference beside the source pages. A change in layout or extracted text can affect the comparison, so review the actual content before drawing conclusions.
Use secure redaction when selected details must be removed from the copy you circulate. Cropping or covering text with an annotation can leave the underlying content accessible. A visible difference between versions only shows that the copies differ. Removing sensitive content requires checking what remains in the exported file, including whether marked text can still be searched or selected.
Open the relevant tool below, follow its file instructions and inspect the result before sharing it. Keep the checked output separate from the original records.
